Emergency First aid

This accredited course, ran by The International Certification and Training Academy covers primary care and the recovery position, resuscitation, defibrillation, bleeding control, shock, seizures as well as minor first aid protocol.  

To gain the qualification you will need to complete online training (approx. 2 hours in length) and attend the workshop in person. The online training can be completed in your own time, but will need to be submitted 24 hours before the course.  This is an interactive course to practice the first aider role, as a result some physical contact (for example during practicing bandaging) will be part of the workshop.

By the the of the workshop you will be learn how to

Referencing 101

Referencing is a crucial skill in academic writing, involving the proper acknowledgment of sources used in assignments or research. It comprises two key components: in-text citations, where you indicate within the text that you've incorporated ideas from others, and a comprehensive reference list or bibliography at the end of your work, offering a detailed description of each source

Citing software Mendeley, a powerful citing software, significantly streamlines the essay-writing process for students. By effortlessly organizing and managing references, it ensures that citations are accurate and consistent, saving valuable time. The user-friendly interface allows students to focus on the content of their essays, confident that Mendeley will handle the meticulous task of citation formatting seamlessly. Mendeley facilitates the easy download of bibliographic references from various sources, including databases, files, or PDFs.
